On 8 March 2024, the Ministry issues three ordinary stamps, belonging to the thematic series The civic sense dedicated to the strength of women: Elena Gianini Belotti, Alfonsina Strada, on the centenary of the 12a edition of the Giro d'Italia; Maria Plozner Mentil; all with tariff indication B.

The cartoons depict:

For the stamp dedicated to Elena Gianini Belotti, a portrait of the Italian pedagogist, essayist and writer, a great protagonist of feminism, the first to talk about sexism in education. In the background you can see the silhouettes of a woman and a child.

For the stamp dedicated to Alfonsina Strada, the extraordinary Italian cyclist riding her bicycle, the first and only woman to participate in the men's Giro d'Italia in 1924, in the background behind her two cyclists and in the foreground stands a bicycle wheel with its characteristic spokes.

For the stamp dedicated to Maria Plozner Mentil, a portrait of the prodigal Carnic carrier who sacrificed her life in the service of the Italian army during the Great War. In the background the Carnic Alps and other volunteers during their arduous journey. At the top, on the left, is a reproduction of the gold medal for military valor awarded to the heroine by the President of the Republic.

The stamps are completed by the respective legends and dates: "ELENA GIANINI BELOTTI", "PEDAGOGIST", "1929 - 2022"; "ALFONSINA STRADA", "ONE HUNDRED YEARS FIRST WOMAN AT THE GIRO D'ITALIA", "1891 - 1959"; "MARIA PLOZNER MENTIL", "PORTATRICE CARNICA", "1884 - 1916"; the word "ITALIA" and the tariff indication "B".
