On March 15, 2024, the Ministry issues an ordinary stamp belonging to the thematic series the Excellences of the production and economic system dedicated to the Edison company, on the 140th anniversary of its foundation, with tariff indication B.
The cartoon reproduces a seal with the initials "SE", an acronym for Edison Company, placed on the handle of the entrance door of Palazzo Edison in the Foro Buonaparte in Milan. The palace was built starting from the end of May 1891 on a project by the architect Enrico Combi and purchased in 1923 by the 2 Società Generale Italiana Eddison di Elettricità (Italian General Society of Electricity), dividing its historic headquarters.
In the background is the dome with stained glass windows of the "Sala degli Azionisti" of Palazzo Edison, the work of the Corvaya - Bazzi & C. company of Milan, built in 1922 and composed of 18,000 pieces of colored glass.
The stamp is completed by the legend "SOCIETÀ EDISON DAL 1884", the inscription "ITALIA" and the tariff indication "B".
